a walk in the park .........

Paynes Prairie Preserve State Park

about  10  miles  south  of  Gainesville

Cone's Dike Trail
 trail  is  an  8.25  mile  round-trip  hike
from  the  Visitor  Center  parking  area  trailhead.

about  2.5 miles  from 
the  visitor's center
and the  car park

almost  three  miles  on  the  trail
and one  wild  horse  was  the 
the  lone  find
...
no  birds
 no  gators
  no bison...

a  long  hot  walk 
 back  to  the  car
..
fortunately  I  only  get
the  urge  to walk  this trail
every  three  or  four  years.
