Rawling's  homestead 

purchased  in  1928  

an  example  of  Florida  Cracker architecture..

the  exact  date  of  construction  is  not  known..

Rawlings  added  an indoor  bathroom ,  'carport'

as  well  as  widening and installing screens  on the 

front  porch  and  cypress shingles on  the roof

(  in  place  of  the  more  commonly  used  metal  roofing )
