La Chua Trail

..
conditions on the trail have shortened my
3 mile ( roundtrip ) walk.
some visitors have waded across
the flooded trail...
but not me .!!
...
Sweetwater trail ( just off the main walk at La Chua )
seemed like an alternative...
seemed like an alternative...
water level there is much lower and steeper banks
along the side of the trail ..
but..
a different type of block
enjoying the morning sun
and..
back at the gateway to the main trail
another obstacle....
finally .....
just before the boardwalk...
a young gator..
perhaps searching for his mom ....
I certainly looked for her...
they are very protective of their young.
