Sandhill Crane
the backyard 2013
after taking all of 2012 off
two Sandhill Cranes have returned
to the yard....
beautiful but very chatty...
not sure if they are calling out
to other cranes or warning them
about a crazed camera wielding woman
following them all about the 5 acres...
maybe they have a nest nearby...
or maybe they just like the open space
