of course there is a story involved with
these marbles....
the shop owner has a pamphlet
about the marbles and how he bought them from
the excavator of an old factory that had been burned
during Sherman's scorching of Atlanta during the Civil War.
a nice little story about pre- Civil War marbles...
a nice little trinket to take home...
I like little trinkets... stones, boxes.. whatever..
so to me the story was just entertaining.
no influence on my decision to buy three or four
of the marbles....
a good thing ....
a little googling and it seems the pre Civil War marbles
are fake....
