Ghost signs 1

Chero-Cola
A cola brand unfamiliar to most
people today.

In the early 1900's Chero-cola
was a soft drink that rivaled
Coca-cola in popularity in the South.

Invented in 1905 by Claude Hatcher
a pharmacist in Columbus, Georgia.

Bottled by Union Bottling Works until 1932
 .. the Dothan Chero-cola franchise
was sold and renamed Nehi .....
the company which later bottled
a cola descended from the original
Chero-cola formula .......
the old time southern favorite RC
(  Royal Crown Cola )
