Chainsaw artist Dayton Scroggins
created the initial five sculptures
for the Katrina Sculpture Garden
in 2007
Carved from the damaged trees just
west of the Biloxi lighthouse...
victims of hurricane Katrina.
Later a second chainsaw artist ,
Marlin Miller began work on the
dead trees in the roadway median
just beyond the original sculptures.
To date there are 20 trees that have
been transformed into wildlife images.
