On the trail again ...

Paynes Prairie Preserve is open
365 days a year... a good place to
practice with a new camera on Christmas Day

The weather in Florida has been mild and
so far I haven't seen the masses of
migrating birds at the preserve...
soon maybe !!

This seems to be the spot that the hawk
has chosen.. overlooking one of the water
channels.

When the temperature is below 40° F ,
you will not see gators sunning on the banks.

When I arrived at the park it was 47° F.
By the end of my 3 mile walk it was about 58°
So gators were everywhere.
Outnumbering the egrets and herons.

Okay .. just look at that smiling face
and tell me you wouldn't stop to
get a photo or two ...
