Sandhill Cranes strolling along a country road.
Not bothered by the passing cars.
But they did pick up the pace when
I walked closer with the camera.
A little further down the road .
Another group of cranes in
a cow pasture.
Too soon for the winter migration.
Charlie said these are 'locals'
that stay year round .
Drats.. I was hoping the crane sighting
meant cooler weather .
